Round 2 !!!

A few month's ago I was contacted to create plush character's inspired by the main character in Robert Weinstock's book "The Giant Meatball."

Robert Weinstock's new book "Food Hates You, Too!" is hitting shelves and Poppy Seed Tree has been commissioned to create plush character's from the new book.  The book is composed of quirky, fun, poems and short stories.  This is a photograph of four of the book's characters that were custom designed by Poppy Seed Tree.

Poppy Seed Tree is going to be showcasing talented and inspirational artist's in a "featured artist" column once a month.   I want to spread the word about my favorite creators, and hopefully, it will inspire you to create as well.  Sometimes it seems us humans can't get much lazier... but if I focus on the motivated and driven humans it will help spread the word.  Let's leave being lazy in 2008.

Babble's mission is simple:

Cool Mom Picks picked Poppy Seed Tree!

Poppy Seed Tree was written about on the popular NYC based website Cool Mom Picks (coolmompicks.com).  Editors Kristen Chase and Liz Gumbinner seek out non-mainstream children's items created by indie/emerging designers along with mom/women run companies.  They feature unique clothing, toys and other items that any mom (or cool aunt) would love to know about.

Tiny Little Oven Cakes has it's best cake delivery... EVER!

Although this blog is mainly for my Poppy Seed Tree creations, I wanted to share some fun updates about my custom cake company Tiny Little Oven Cakes. This weekend I delivered one of my cake creations to a party being held at Citizen's Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies. The cake was a HUGE baseball cap and glove.  It turned out awesome, however, the delivery was definitely the best part.  It's not every day I get to run around an empty baseball stadium.  My husband and I danced around on top of the dug out like losers and ran up and down the rows like children.  It rocked.  Here's a few pictures of my best cake delivery... ever.
